Game Design

  • Created game design documentation for planning
  • Designed and iterated mechanics
  • Used Source Control to work with a team
  • Designed user experience and menus so they worked in VR
  • Created prototype track models to test mecahnics

Programming

  • Used blueprints to prototype mechanics of the game
  • Worked with programmers using blue prints to make a physics based car

Audio Design

  • Sourced sounds from sound snap under student licence
  • Cut and edited sounds
  • Sourced Music that are copy write safe
  • Implemented sounds into engine

Level Design

  • Prototyped level layouts
  • Created graybox level to build levels from
  • Helped to create the level

About the Project

Track Snap is a VR game where player are able to build a race course out of 6 different track pieces then they are able to race a toy car on the track.
This VR project had to be done in a short amount of time with artist only be available for 2 weeks. This meant that we had to plan ahead and be ready for when the artist come onto the project.

The Results

The game turned out well as it was fun and gave a good nostalgic experience to players.
